Denman Island Chocolate's commitment to the environment is their guiding principle. They honour it in every aspect of our business.  Denman Island Chocolate is certified organic, supporting sustained stewardship of farmlands and ecosystems.  The design of our packaging minimizes waste. All materials are recyclable and, where possible, made with post-consumer recycled contents.

Denman Island is off the coast of British Columbia and is home to about 1000 people and manages to blend the atmosphere of a rural community with the practicalities of modern living. Denman Island Chocolate is, as the name suggests, strongly linked to this community. As their business grows they are able to provide more jobs - which are very scarce  - and contribute to an innovative economic base.

The Delicious Belgian Chocolate Taste:

The chocolate bars are made with the finest organic ingredients --bittersweet Belgian chocolate, freshly toasted hazelnuts, dark espresso beans, candied ginger, tangy dried raspberries, and pure natural mint and orange essences. Denman Island Chocolate bars are made with certified organic chocolate with a high (55% or 70%) cocoa mass content. This makes for a more intense, less sweet flavor that is rich and clean.

Belgian chocolate is considered to be the gourmet standard by which all other chocolate confections are measured. Even the Swiss, known for their own high quality chocolate, imported the basic recipe from French and Belgian chocolatiers.

Made From Organic Chocolate: 

"All natural" is a term that has no legal meaning and can be used freely. It does not mean that the cocoa is organic, or free of chemical pesticides or their residues. Chose organic, which is made from only the highest quality organic ingredients, and must meet or exceed all organic standards of qualification such as Denman COABC organic certification #08-00-026.
